What this site stores on your device
Nothing. As built, uk-lifestyle.co.uk is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tags, and does not use local storage or fingerprinting. No consent banner is needed because there is nothing to consent to.
The only third-party request the pages make is to Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used in the design. Google receives your IP address in order to return the font files, as it would for any request to any server, and states that it does not use Google Fonts requests to build advertising profiles. If you would rather the site made no third-party requests at all, the fonts can be hosted on this domain instead — see the note at the end of this page.
What your browser does anyway
Your browser will cache the stylesheet, the small script file and the logo so that pages load faster on your next visit. That is standard browser behaviour rather than something we set, and it does not identify you. Clearing your browsing data removes it.
Forms
If you submit the enquiry form, the details you type are emailed to our enquiry desk and stored in our email system, as described in the privacy policy. The form does not set a cookie and does not remember your details for next time.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs, which record the IP address, date, requested page, browser type and referring page for each request. These are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse or faults, are rotated on our hosting provider's standard schedule, and are not combined with anything else to identify you.
If we add cookies later
If analytics, advertising, chat, video embeds or social media buttons are added to this site in future, PECR requires that non-essential cookies are not set until you have given consent. That means:
- a consent banner that appears before any such cookie is set
- a genuine choice to reject, given equal prominence to accepting
- a way to change your mind afterwards
- this page updated with a table of each cookie, its purpose and its lifespan
Nothing of that kind is in place today because none of it is needed today.
Controlling cookies generally
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and set your browser to tell you when a site tries to set one. Guidance for every major browser is available at aboutcookies.org. Blocking cookies will not affect this site, since it does not use any.
